Immediately AFTER the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: AND THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. -Matthew 24:29-31

Pre-Trib Fib, Part II

Part III
Part I

March 12, 2002 - The doctrine of a pre-tribulation rapture has a cult-like following. These folks call themselves "pre-tribbers" and write grandiose Novel Series and make huge Hollywood Movies about their belief. Most of all, they make lots of money pushing their unscriptural flesh-saving doctrine.

When I expose the OBVIOUS holes in their "theory" they jostle about in their chairs uncomfortably, or get mad and walk away.

I tell them, "Hey, don't get mad at me, I didn't write the Bible!"

Pre-tribbers teach what is known as the "pre-tribulation" rapture of the Church. They vehemently contend that the "calling away of the saints" will occur PRIOR to the beginning of tribulation.

They do this even though Scripture teaches the exact opposite.

Just read the scripture above from Matthew Chapter 24. Then go back and read my first installment of the Pre-Trib Fib.

Folks, it's time to wake up! The Scripture is ABUNDANTLY clear: the Lord WILL RETURN and the Lord WILL RAPTURE "His TRUE Church." But, this "calling away" will occur AFTER the period we commonly call "tribulation."

And just so you know, the "rapture" is THEN followed by the pouring out of God's WRATH on those "unbelievers" remaining on the earth.

Now, understanding this is not all that difficult. Perhaps, uncomfortable, but not difficult. That is, if you can get past the initial discomfort and seek the Truth without your "church-taught" pre-disposition. (Which I did only two years ago)

So, with the bulk of Scripture so clear, how is it that MOST ALL of modern day "churches" teach a PRE-tribulation rapture?

"And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." -II Timothy 4:4

Perhaps, they would rather listen to each other than truly STUDY the WORD of God.

Who knows, but I can tell you this: the PRE-TRIBULATION RAPTURE was not taught until about 170 years ago.

In 1830, a 15 year old girl in a TRANCE first uttered the concept of the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church. The fact that NO Christian leader had ever even heard of the doctrine before 1830 is WIDELY DOCUMENTED. Prior to 1830, the Church taught that Jesus would return at the END of the tribulation period, as the Bible obviously teaches.

This 15 year old girl I speak of was named Margaret McDonald. She was a Scottish teen-ager and met with an OCCULTIC group that studied the Bible. Among other occultic practices, they practiced levitation.

Later, a Scottish pastor named Edward Irving picked up the notion of the pre-trib rapture from Miss McDonald. The doctrine was brought to America by another pastor, John Darby who most likely "stole" the idea from Irving.

"there shall be false teachers among you..." -II Peter 2:1

By the early 1900's the notion of a "pre-trib rapture" had become widely accepted, and the "DOCTRINE" began being TAUGHT in America's Bible Colleges and Semetaries.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine." -II Timothy 4:3

Ok, but what about that scripture that talks about how the believers will be gone "in the twinkling of an eye?" Doesn't that talk about a pre-tribulation rapture?

Here's that verse:

"In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptable, and we shall be changed." -I Corinthians 15:52

This verse is talking about when the Lord descends from heaven with a shout at the Second Coming. And, it states that this will occur AT THE LAST TRUMP!

If you study the book of Revelation, you will see that the whole tribulation has already occured before the sounding of the last trumpet. In fact, the 7th [and last] trumpet mentioned in Revelation blows at the very END of the tribulation! It's cut and dried. There is no debating this.

How much more obvious does it have to be?

Open your eyes people!

NEXT: Dangers of believing in a Pre-tribulation rapture doctrine.

May the grace of God,
which surpasses all understanding,
richly bless and keep you,
